Maintenance Tips and Tricks

Avoid The Car Wash:

Cars get dirty. It’s inevitable. Though it may be hard to, avoid the car wash when you can. Most of the elements can be washed off at home with a little elbow grease and a hose. Use a soft sponge, mild car soap, and a good clean rinse to take away the dirt of the road. Additionally, we recommend waiting about 48 hours after the installation of graphics before washing your car. This allows the adhesive to set in, making sure there’s a strong bond between vinyl and vehicle. 

Try to Avoid Extreme Temperatures:

Consistent exposure to extreme temperatures and direct sunlight can cause your graphics to fade and warp over time. If at all possible, park your vehicle in shaded areas or inside of a garage.

For Perforated Window Graphics, Avoid Friction:

If your vehicle has been outfitted with perforated window graphics, either on the windshields or windows, avoid the use of wipers and avoid rolling down the windows. Friction can cause the vinyl to tear or stretch, which will require full removal of the graphic in order to fix it. Additionally, in the winter, avoid the use of scrapers. This is a surefire way to tear your graphics right off.
